Questions
answered.
How soon after surgery can I have lymphatic drainage?+
Timing depends on your procedure and your surgeon's clearance — typically 3 to 7 days post-op for most cosmetic surgery. We coordinate directly with your wider recovery plan.
How many sessions will I need?+
Most post-surgical clients benefit from a course of six to twelve sessions, beginning more frequently and tapering as swelling settles.
Is it painful?+
No. Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic technique performed at light pressure — most clients find it deeply relaxing and often fall asleep.
What should I wear?+
A robe is provided. We work directly on the skin with a light oil, so loose clothing for after the session is recommended.
What should I do after a session?+
Water intake is essential — we recommend drinking at least 2.5 litres of water every 24 hours to help the lymphatic system flush effectively. Walk gently, avoid alcohol and heavy meals, and follow any compression garment guidance from your surgeon.
Are there any side effects?+
Most clients feel lighter and calmer. You may experience increased urination, mild tiredness or temporary tenderness — all signs the lymphatic system is responding well.
Who should not have lymphatic drainage?+
It is not suitable during active infection, deep vein thrombosis, untreated cancer, congestive heart failure, or acute inflammation. Always disclose your full medical history at booking.
Can it be combined with Emsculpt Neo or Emface?+
Yes. Lymphatic drainage is an excellent companion to body contouring — it helps clear processed fat cells and reduces any swelling, accelerating visible results.
How is payment handled?+
Single sessions are paid on the day. Courses can be paid in full or split — please ask at consultation. We accept all major cards and bank transfer.
